About Me

Erik is the Director of Operations at Black Powder Search, which focuses on connecting veterans with industry executives and hiring managers. He is passionate about seeing veterans succeed and US businesses thrive. 

Previously, he was the Head of Corporate and Investor Relations for Canaccord Genuity’s Alternative Capital Team. In that capacity, he was the liaison between corporate clients and investors. Erik specializes in developing and executing a team’s operational strategy, business development with corporate clients, crafting tailor-fit stories for corporate marketing to clearly shape their narrative, and developing relations with growth-focused investors.

Prior to joining CG, Erik served honorably in the U.S. Navy’s Special Operations community and has collaborated and consulted with multiple companies and federal/university laboratories, specifically on R&D/T&E, product commercialization, and government contracting. Erik holds an M.S. from Columbia University and an MBA specializing in Finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Current FINRA license: 7 and 63.
